A great advantage of a parent co-operative is the sense of community that is created when children, teachers and parents work together. Every year, the Friendly Forest Community puts together some family friendly fun activities.

The Annual Santa’s Breakfast

In Friendly Forest tradition, the Annual Santa’s Breakfast is a highlight for many of the children and their families come Christmas-time. There is a pancake breakfast, music, crafts and of course a visit from Santa and Mrs.Claus.

Mother’s Day Tea

Every May, the children welcome their mothers for a special mother’s day tea party to show them how much they appreciate all that they do. The children organize and prepare the event which includes snacks and refreshments, songs, crafts and a few other surprises. Truly a memorable day that the mothers’ will always cherish.

Dad’s Pizza Night

This event is special for the kids, it gives them one-on-one time with their Dad or a Grandparent. The kids love bringing their Dad’s to school and showing them around. This year, the children and their Dad’s participated in an outdoor scavenger hunt around the playground and the children had a great time finding all the hidden clues.

Parent’s Night Out

Friendly Forest never forgets about its parents and this event is geared to a well deserved night out. Whether a pub night or a beer tasting event, evening yoga or fitness class, the social committee works hard every year to have fun night out meeting other Friendly Forest Parents.
