LINDSAY

Lindsay Dureau has been a cherished member of the Friendly Forest Preschool team since 2000. A second-generation Early Childhood Educator, Lindsay brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her role, creating a nurturing and supportive environment for preschool children and their families. She is deeply passionate about building meaningful connections with each child, fostering their growth and development with care and intention. Lindsay’s dedication and expertise have made her an integral part of the preschool’s success. She teaches both morning and afternoon classes from Tuesday through Friday, continuing to inspire and enrich the lives of her students every day.

RUTH

Ruth Graham has been a valued member of our team since 2008. Recently, she completed the “Learning Outside Together” program, which integrates traditional wisdom and practices with Early Childhood Education, in partnership with the Early Childhood Educators of BC and the BC Aboriginal Child Care Society. Ruth’s boundless energy and joyful presence light up the classroom, making every day engaging and memorable for the children. Known for her creativity and love of silly songs, Ruth brings a special vibrancy to her teaching. She teaches both morning and afternoon classes on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, enriching the lives of her students with her enthusiasm and passion.

JOANNE

Joanne Perkins joined Friendly Forest in 2006 as a Program Assistant. She recently completed her Early Childhood Educator training with a specialization in special needs education. Joanne supports each child and the program with her fun and caring personality.  Joanne loves to build connection with each child so they feel safe to engage with their teachers, their peers, and the materials in the classroom. Joanne will be working Mondays and Wednesday’s with the 4 year old program and will be substituting for in the 3 year old program when needed.

HEATHER

Heather Webster joined Friendly Forest Preschool in 2023 as an ECE special needs practicum student and quickly fell in love with the program. Her favorite aspect of teaching is exploring new interests alongside the children and nurturing their natural curiosity. Heather brings a thoughtful and supportive approach to her role, working regularly with classes requiring extra support and stepping in as a substitute teacher whenever needed. Her dedication and enthusiasm make her a wonderful addition to the Friendly Forest team.
